Hello everyone! This is a new segment in which we are going
to be posting your cure for the Mondays. It’s going to be a quick article on
what to look forward to this week. Who’s ready to get recharged?
We have a great week of fights this first time for
recharged! We have UFC on Fuel 4, headlined by middleweight contenders, Chris
Weidman and Mark Munoz on Wednesday. Legacy FC 12 for hardcore fans on Friday
and Strikeforce: Rockhold vs. Kennedy on Saturday.
On Wednesday, Chris Weidman and Mark Munoz will look to cement their
spots as top contenders at 185 as they throw down in the main event. Typically
when two grapplers face off, they cancel each other out and it turns into a
standup battle. I see this fight being a close striking match in which either
fighter can win. We also welcome back both Joey Beltran and Kenny Robertson.
Robertson is filling in for the injured Jon Fitch after he was cut for his lone
TKO loss. He KO’d Lucio Linhares with a beautiful spinning back fist that
earned him another shot in the world’s largest MMA promotion. Joey Beltran is stepping in for Brandon Vera after he stepped up to face "Shogun". He is dropping down a weight class after he was blasted by the much larger Lavar Johnson, making for a wise decision, and another shot in the UFC against James Te Huna.
Two days later, we have Legacy FC making a return in the
beautiful city of Houston, Texas. It shall be headlined by UFC vet Will
Campuzano and Chad Roubichaux fighting to fill in LFC’s vacant flyweight belt.
BJJ phenom, Robert Drysdale will be making his return to MMA, as he shall have his 4th
MMA fight, looking to continue his unbeaten mixed martial arts career.
And finally, Strikeforce will be having one of its biggest
events of all time as Luke Rockhold looks to cement his status as one of the
top middleweights outside the UFC against the always tough Tim Kennedy who has
looked fantastic in his last two fights against Melvin Manhoef and Robbie
Lawler. The vacant Strikeforce welterweight title will also be claimed as Nate
“The Great” Marquardt is looking to make a career comeback following his
shocking UFC release against the strong wrestler in Tyron Woodley.
Thank you everyone! I hope this helped cure your Mondays, we
all know how bad those can be.
